OBIT WARD, JAMES HOWARD

WARD, James Howard, 76, of Rt. 3, Galax, died July 12, 1993, at his home. He is survived by his wife, Iva Branscome Ward, Galax; sons and daughters-in-law, James E. and Fran D. Ward, Richmond, Larry B. and Sandra D. Ward, Christiansburg; sisters, Myrtle W. Caudle, Thomasville, N.C., Josie W. Rippey, High Point, N.C.; grandchildren, Mitchell B. Ward, Jeffrey S. Ward, Justin B. Ward. Funeral services will be held at Oakland United Methodist Church, Thursday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Masonic rites will be at the gravesite by Oldtown Lodge #68.
