ATTORNEY GENERAL'S EMPLOYEE INDICTED

A Henrico County drug investigation has snared a courier for the Virginia attorney general's office, officials said Thursday.

But the special prosecutor for the case and a spokeswoman for the attorney general said Kenneth W. Finney's alleged involvement in the drug ring has nothing to do with the attorney general's office.

"From time to time we do have employees that do get into personal trouble," said Deborah Love-Bryant, spokeswoman for Attorney General Stephen Rosenthal.

Finney, 30, of Richmond, was indicted two weeks ago on one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine. He has been an office technician for the attorney general since 1985.
