SHELTON, Pearl Edith, 83, of Roanoke, died Thursday, July 15, 1993. She was
a member of Oakland Baptist Church, was the widow of Leslie L. Shelton and was
predeceased by her foster mother, Mrs. Jayne C. Taylor and was Past Worthy
Matron, Williamson Road Chapter #119 O.E.S. She is survived by one brother and
sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Shelton of Salem; one sister-in-law,
Mrs. Margaret E. Bayse; one brother-in-law, John E. Bayse, both of Roanoke; a
number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's
North Chapel 1 p.m. Saturday, July 17, with the Rev. Kelly Dampeer
officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call
Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 7
to 9 p.m. Friday.
