Anthony Norris, 10, died at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters in Norfolk, said Lynn James, a Newport News police spokeswoman.
The bodies of the youngster's parents, Norma and Kermit Norris, were found early Thursday by a sheriff's deputy who came to the house to serve an eviction notice and found the front door ajar.
Norris, 48, an Army retiree, had been shot once in the head. Norma Norris, 46, was shot once in the mouth. Anthony was wounded in the left temple.
Police found a .25-caliber pistol in Norma Norris' right hand, James said. "It appears that the wife is the one responsible for the shooting of the little boy and the husband and then turned the gun on herself," she said. - Associated Press
