WAKE FOREST'S EVANS WINS COLLEGIATE TOURNAMENT IN BLACKSBURG

Top-seeded Dana Evans of Wake Forest defeated teammate Patty Murren 6-0, 6-2 to win the women's singles title at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Summer Circuit tournament in Blacksburg.

Evans and Murren then teamed to win the doubles final over Antonette Veloso and Raissa Remandaban 6-2, 6-2. Veloso is from Vinton and plays for Rice; Remandaban is from Roanoke and plays at William and Mary.
