OBIT COMER, THURMAN H.

COMER, Thurman H., 80, of Lindside, W.Va., died Thursday, July 15, 1993, in a Roanoke hospital. He was born August 29, 1912, at Wikel, W.Va., and was the son of the late James A. and Minnie Mann Comer. He was a member of the Lindside Christian Church and was part owner of the Comer Chevrolet Company at Lindside for 43 years, prior to his retirement. Survivors are his wife, Mary Riner Comer, Lindside, W.Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Dottie) Eger, Oak Ridge, Tenn., Mrs. James (Jeanne) Foringer, Roanoke; four grandchildren, Duane and his wife, Traci Eger, Kathie Eger, Christy and Timothy Foringer; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Lindside Christian Church with Minister Ronald Goss, Rev. Marshall Fowler, and Rev. Jim Foringer. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery in Wikel, W.Va. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at the Broyles Funeral Home, Peterstown, W.Va. and at the church prior to services. Memorial contributions should be made to the Lindside Christian Church, Lindside, WV 24951.
