OBIT WINGO, ERNEST WESLEY

WINGO, Ernest Wesley, 98, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, July 17, 1993. He attended Fleming Chapel and was a retired machinest for N&W Railway. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Fariss Wingo; one daughter and son-in-law, Doris Wingo Bratton and Harry W. Bratton Sr.; three grandchildren, Harry W. Bratton Jr., Ronnie S. Bratton and Jan L. Bratton, all of Roanoke; five great-grandchildren, Amy, Melissa, Daniel, Andrew Stephen and Jennifer. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Wesley Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Burial Park. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
