OBIT YATES, PAUL EVERETT
YATES, Paul Everett, 72, of Rocky Mount, died Saturday, July 17, 1993. Mr.
Yates was a veteran of World War II, retired from Ferguson Enterprises as
Plumbing and Heating Salesman, and was a member of the Furnace Creek Baptist
Church. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Wilcox Yates; two sisters,
Virginia Ruth Rose and Velva Day, both of Princeton, W.Va.; three brothers,
Vernon Yates of St. Petersburg, Fla., Scott Yates of Columbus, Miss. and
Walter Yates of Rocky Mount; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law,
Nellie Wilcox Sprouse of Roanoke, Mary Jane Yates of Rocky Mount, Peggy and W.
N. Cullifer of Virginia Beach, Herbert T. (Butch) and Mary Ann Wilcox of Rocky
Mount, Billy Wilcox of Rocky Mount; also, several nieces and nephews. Funeral
services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 1993, at the
Arrington-Bussey Funeral Chapel with Dr. Richard Harrell and the Rev. Troy E.
Mays officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may
call anytime after 2 p.m. Monday at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home, Rocky
Mount, where the family will be from 7 to 9 p.m.
