FIX THOSE PROBLEMS AT THE CIVIC CENTER

THIS LETTER is to bring out some problem areas that Roanoke and the management at the Roanoke Civic Center might want to look into and correct.

The city police did an excellent job directing traffic in the 90-degree-plus heat, and they seemed to have a positive attitude. Keep up the good work.

The problem is in the parking lot. People just park as they please. Seems as though one needs a bumper car to get around the lot. Also, the lighting is very poor and needs correcting right away before someone gets mugged.

Please don't schedule two events the same day and at the same time. This causes lack of parking spaces.

Inside the auditorium, a lady sitting near me was blowing a whistle during the recent Miss Virginia pageant. We all want our favorite lady to win, but how rude!

I have attended the pageant for more than 10 years. Roanoke has been good to me and my family, but the above problems need to be corrected.
