BIOLOGICAL STATION PLANS OPEN HOUSE

The Mountain Lake Biological Station of the University of Virginia will hold an open house Sunday, 2-4 p.m. About 100 students, faculty and researchers from throughout the United States are involved in programs at the station. Major fields of study are bird behavior, plant diseases, salamander ecology, natural history and conservation biology. The station is on Virginia 700 off U.S. 460 between Pembroke and Blacksburg. Proceed past Mountain Lake Hotel about two miles, taking all right-hand forks.
