OBIT WHEELER, NELSON RANDOLPH
WHEELER, Nelson Randolph, 73, of 843 Randolph Street, Bedford, died Monday,
July 19, 1993, in Bedford County Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born in Bedford County January 2, 1920, a son of the late Edgar Owen
Wheeler and Nora Brown Wheeler. He was a retired driver for Rubatex Corp., an
Army veteran of World War II, a member of Liberty Masonic Lodge #95 A.F.&A.M.,
Bedford Royal Arch Chapter #60 and Bedford Baptist Church. He is survived by
his wife, Ellen Scott Wheeler; a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Wheeler and
Robert L. Beeman of Naruna; a brother, Marvin D. Wheeler of Vinton; two
stepgrandchildren, Victoria Leigh Beeman and Robert Patrick Beeman. Funeral
services will be conducted Wednesday, July 21, 1993, 11 a.m. at the
Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel with Dr. Ron R. Blankenship officiating. Burial
will follow in Virginia Memorial Park with Masonic Graveside Rites. The family
will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Carder-Tharp Funeral
Home.
