OBIT SLUSHER, LURA FAYNE

SLUSHER, Lura Fayne, 97, of Floyd, passed away Sunday, July 18, 1993, at her home. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Glenna and Wilbur Weddle of Floyd and Joann and Kenneth Overstreet of Hopewell; two sons and daughters-in-law, Price and Ruth Slusher of Hillsville and Arnold and Faye Slusher of Floyd; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Laurel Branch Church of The Brethren with the Rev. Ralph Spradling and the Rev. Marvin Hiner officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Maberry Funeral Home.
