OBIT PURVIS, IRVINE E. JR.

PURVIS, Irvine E. Jr., 67, of Lexington, died Sunday, July 18, 1993, in the Heritage Hall Nursing Home, Lexington. Mr. Purvis was born June 6, 1926, in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Irvine E. Purvis Sr. and Sadie Lyndsey Purvis. He was retired from Reeves Bros Inc. and was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalee Howard Purvis. Surviving are one brother, Jack Purvis, Lexington; one sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Robert Topping, Lexington; two sisters-in-law, Jeannine Swope, Roanoke, Jane Purvis, Lexington. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 21, 1993, at 2 p.m. from the graveside at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery with the Rev. R. S. Tomlin officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
