OBIT COUNDJERIS, PEARL AUDRIA WINOKER
COUNDJERIS, Pearl Audria Winoker, 76, of Bedford, died Tuesday, July 20,
1993, in a Roanoke hospital. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on May 12, 1917, a
daughter of the late Samuel J. Winoker and Beatrice Lewis Winoker. Mrs.
Coundjeris was an Army Veteran of World War II and was Past Commander of the
McKee Post American Legion in Whitestone, N.Y. Survivors include her husband,
Arthur E. Coundjeris; daughter, Barbara ("Bobbie") Roan, Smyrna, Ga.; son,
Arthur Douglas Coundjeris, Napa, Calif.; two grandsons, Joshua Caine
Coundjeris, Justin Michael Coundjeris, both of Napa, Calif; brother, Lester G.
Winoker, Bedford; also a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and
great-nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 23, 1993, 11
a.m. at the graveside in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens with Rabbi Morris
Shapiro and American Legion Post #16 - Lynchburg officiating. The family will
receive friends at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Bedford Life Saving Crew.
