OBIT REID, MARGARET HENRIETTA

REID, Margaret Henrietta, 88, of Blacksburg, formerly of Abingdon, died Sunday, July 18, 1993, in the Heritage Hall Health Care, Blacksburg. She was a member of the St. Johns Lutheran Church in Abingdon and a member of St. Michaels Lutheran Church, Prices Fork, since November 1991. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Lena Lipps Wegman of Glendale, N.Y. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas H. (Tom) Jr. and Carol Reid of Blacksburg; three grandchildren, Diane R. Coltrane of Reidsville, N.C., Thomas C. Reid of Atlanta, Ga., William R. Reid of Blacksburg; one nephew, Rev. Richard Wegman of Massachusettes; one niece, Joyce Merlino of New Jersey. Memorial services will be held Sunday, July 25, 1993, at 3 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Abingdon, with the Rev. Frank Honeycutt officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, July 27, 1993, at 1:10 p.m. in the Evergreens Cemetery, Brooklyn, N.Y. with the Rev. Richard Wegman officiating. In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions to St. Johns Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in Abingdon, or to St. Michaels Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, Blacksburg. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
