\ AIRMAN 1ST CLASS FLOYD A. BROWN, son of Portia P. Brown of 3533 Ferncliff Ave., has arrived for duty at Ramstein Air Force, Kaiserslautern, Germany.

\ PVT. TIFFANY M. COUSSER, daughter of Charlene R. Hoosier of 111 Otter Ave., Salem, completed basic training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
\ PETTY OFFICER 2ND CLASS LOUIS A. JOHNSON, son of Ollie Johnson of 922 Fairfax Ave., N.W. Roanoke, has left on a six-month deployment on the USS Theodore Roosevelt. The carrier is part of the support team for Operation Deny Flight enforcing a no-fly zone over Bosnia-Herzegovina.
\ NAVY PETTY OFFICER 1ST CLASS RICKY H. BRATTON, son of George H. and Betty S. Bratton of 4332 Oliver Road N.E., has participated aboard the aircraft carrier USS America, stationed in Norfolk, in "Ocean Venture 93," an Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard training exercise.
\ DAVID K. BASHAW, son of Betty J. Guy of Salem and James D. Bashaw of West Virginia, was commissioned a second lieutenant through the Army ROTC program upon graduation from James Madison University.
\ KENNETH F. DREWRY, son of George W. and Carol H. Drewry of 4220 Chesterton St., was commissioned a second lieutenant through the Army ROTC program upon graduation from Virginia Tech.
Drewry is a 1989 graduate of Patrick Henry High School.
