She is a 1989 graduate of Northside High School and received an associate degree from Virginia Western Community College.
\ MARINE PVT. CHRISTOPHER L. SNYDER, son of Barry L. and Debbie E. Snyder of Roanoke, completed basic training at Parris Island, S.C.
Snyder is a 1992 graduate of William Fleming High School.
\ PVT. TIFFANY M. COUSSER, daughter of Charlene R. Hoosier of 111 Otter Ave., Salem, completed basic training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
She is a 1992 graduate of Salem High School.
\ NAVY PETTY OFFICER 3RD CLASS ERIC L. BURFORD, son of Andrew M. Burford and Frances E. Tyree, both of Roanoke, has been deployed aboard the guided missile cruiser USS San Jacinto, stationed in Norfolk, for Baltic Operations 93, a U.S. multinational exercise conducted annually in the Baltic for more than 20 years.

\ NAVY PETTY OFFICER 2ND CLASS DAVID I. HUNTER, a 1979 graduate of Patrick Henry High School, has participated aboard the aircraft carrier USS America, stationed in Norfolk, in "Ocean Venture 93," an Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard training exercise.
\ PETTY OFFICER 2ND CLASS LOUIS A. JOHNSON, son of Ollie Johnson of 922 Fairfax Ave., N.W. Roanoke, has left on a six-month deployment on the USS Theodore Roosevelt. The carrier is part of the support team for Operation Deny Flight enforcing a no-fly zone over Bosnia-Herzegovina.
\ SGT. WAYNE R. JONES, son of David R. and Janet C. Jones of 3833 Bower Road S.W., reported for duty at Headquarters and Service Battalion, Camp Butler, Okinawa, Japan.
Jones is a 1986 graduate of Cave Spring High School.

\ NAVY PETTY OFFICER 2ND CLASS JOHN L. DALTON, son of Kelly E. and John L. Dalton Jr. of 3023 Pebble Drive, has participated aboard the aircraft carrier USS America, stationed in Norfolk, in "Ocean Venture 93," an Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard training exercise.
