OBIT BLANKENSHIP, E. M.

BLANKENSHIP, E. M. ("Pat"), 79, of Roanoke, died Thursday, July 22, 1993, in a local hospital. He was a member of Virginia Heights Baptist Church, the Lakeland Masonic Lodge #190 A.F.&A.M., and a charter member of Hidden Valley Country Club. Mr. Blankenship was a cofounder of Blankenship and Davis Opticians. Surviving are his wife, Margaret M. Blankenship; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Jane Blankenship, Roanoke; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Sue and Ralph Rood, Springtown, N.J., Gail Lee and Wayne Key, Graham, N.C.; five grandchidren. A memorial service will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday at Oakey's North Chapel by the Rev. John P. Blankenship Jr. The familly will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Oakey's North Chapel.
