OBIT CARTER, MYRTLE OVERSTREET

CARTER, Myrtle Overstreet, 88, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, July 21, 1993, at her home. She was the widow of Ernest W. Carter and was also predeceased by a son, Cary W. Carter. She is survived by two granddaughters, Wanda S. Carter, Karen L. Bushnell; a dearly loved and devoted great-grandson, Charles A. Bushnell III; very special brother-in-law, James C. Sanderson and a faithful and loyal daughter-in-law, Phyllis Link Carter; several nieces and nephews all of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 1993, with the Dr. Denver J. Davis officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be sent to Hospice of Roanoke Memorial Hospital, P.O. Box 13367, Roanoke, Va. 24033. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, where the family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
