OBIT NORRIS, WILLIAM FRITZ

NORRIS, William Fritz, 52, of Amherst, died Wednesday, July 21, 1993, at the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville. He was born October 18, 1940, in Washington, D.C. He was a graduate of Bluefield College, VPI & SU, and the University of Virginia. He had been a teacher at the Nelson County High School for 17 years. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Lovingston, Va. He is survived by his wife, Becky Bane Norris; his parents, Norval Franklin and Alice Fritz Norris, Lebanon, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Ray (Sandra) Bryant of Hattiesburg, Miss. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. tonight at Driskill Funeral Chapel, Amherst, after which time the family will receive friends. The Rev. John P. Campbell will officiate. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sunset Memorial Park in Damascus, Va. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society, Atherholt Rd., Lynchburg, Va.
