BEAUTIFICATION NOMINEES SOUGHT

The deadline for submitting nominations for Blacksburg's annual beautification awards is Friday.

These award were started to recognize landscape and architecture that enhance the town. Awards will be presented in the following categories: single-family residence; multifamily housing; professional office; historic preservation; adaptive re-use; institution; commercial or industrial; parking area; unique area; and public area.

Awards will be presented Sept. 9 at Town Hall. Nominations should be submitted to the Blacksburg Planning Department, P.O. Box 90003, Blacksburg, Va. 24062-90003. For information, call Rosalie Veit at 961-1114.
