SHAY-WORK

Suzanne Ruth Work and DarinMatthew Shay were united in marriage on June 12, 1993 in St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Rev. Quigg Lawrence was the officiating clergyman.

Allison Jones, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. The matron of honor was Sherri Brungard, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Renee' Cline, Mary Duff and Wendy Stone, friends of the bride. Jessica Edwards, 2nd cousin of the groom, was the flowergirl. George D. Shay, Jr. served as his son's best man. The ushers were Tim McDaniel, Dave Hearn and Dave Brugh, friends of the groom;and Mark Shay, brother of the groom.The acolyte was Ryan McDermott. The guestbook was attended by Bill Work and Lanier Carter.

Suzanne is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Work, Sr., of Salem. Sheis a graduate of Salem High School and attends Roanoke College. Darin is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George D. Shay, Jr. of Roanoke. He is a graduate of Northside High School and Roanoke College, and is employed by Waldenbooks.

The newlyweds will reside in Salem.
