WHITEHEAD-GAYLE

Deborah Renee Gayle and Dr. Thorpe Clarke Whitehead were united in marriage July 3, 1993 at 5:00 p.m. in Huguenot Road Baptist Church, Richmond with the Rev. Dr. Charles H. Chandler, pastor, officiating. Ana E. Reilly served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Krista Andrukonis, Lisa O'Beck, Leslie Hundley, Elizabeth Saunders, Amy Whitehead and Catherine Whitehead, both sisters of the groom. Brett Lee Whitehead served as his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Mike Bryant, Dr. Robert Flikeid, Donald Gayle, brother of the bride, Myron Kindley, Samuel Stevens, and Dr. John C. Wolfe. A reception followed the ceremony at Stony Point School. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Carter Gayle of Richmond. She graduated from Clover Hill High School and attended Virginia Commonwealth University. She is employed by the Martin Agency, Inc. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lee Whitehead of Moneta. He graduated from Staunton River High School, Virginia Military Institute and the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. He is a captain in the US Army. The couple will reside at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
