OBIT TATUM, ROBERT EDWARD SR.

TATUM, Robert Edward Sr., of Blacksburg, died Friday, July 23, 1993 at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Mr. Tatum was born in Manistee, Mich. to the late Edward Cabell and Mae Harmon Tatum. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the European Theater. Mr. Tatum was a retired professor of English from V.P.I. & S.U. Survivors are his wife, Mary H. Tatum; one daughter, Donna Marie Tatum, both of Blacksburg; one son Robert Edward Tatum Jr., Roanoke; one sister Virginia Clark, Stuart. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 26, at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Herbert Hobbs officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association AHA Montgomery Unit c/o Dominion Bank, Attn: Donna Miller, 1204 S. Main St., Blacksburg, Va. 24060. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
