OBIT LLEWELLYN, RICHARD HUGH

LLEWELLYN, Richard Hugh, 56, of 4702 Oxford Street, Lynchburg, formerly of Roanoke, died Saturday, July 24, 1993, in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Carole Myers Llewellyn. Born in Richmond, he was the son of Ethel Kahn Mack of Rural Hall, N.C. and the late Clarence Hugh Llewellyn. He was a graduate of Augusta Military Academy and was past president of the Augusta Military Academy Alumni Association and a member of Kedron Baptist Church in Gladys. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Carole Llewellyn. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two children, Beverly Llewellyn-George and Jeffrey Hugh Llewellyn of Lynchburg; one sister, Barbara Williams of Woodbridge; his stepfather, Frank J. Mack of Rural Hall, N.C.; stepmother, Elizabeth Clay Llewellyn of Lynchburg. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Whitten Park Avenue Chapel in Lynchburg by the Rev. Jack Barrett. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Roanoke at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home and other times at the residence. The family requests that those wishing to make memorials to please consider the American Cancer Society.
