MORE DEADLY THAN A BULLET

HOW DO citizens of Roanoke feel, knowing that, if they have a domestic situation, one of the participants may be killed by an untrained officer or one who has lost his cool? The choke-hold, or stranglehold, is the most deadly weapon known to man, more deadly than a gun or knife.

Maybe as in Los Angeles, citizens should arm themselves with a video. I would suggest officers be trained to use firearms instead of a stranglehold. The victim might live from a gunshot wound. GRACE B. UNDERWOOD PETERSBURG
