OBIT COLLINS, WILLIAM ANDERSON
COLLINS, William Anderson, 76, of Elliston, died Monday, July 26, 1993, in
a Salem hospital. He was retired from the City of Salem, a World War II
veteran, and received a Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife, Doris Muncy
Collins; three daughters and sons-in-law, Penny and Alfred Altice, Pam and
David Loving, both of Elliston, Debbie and Dickie Loving, Salem; two sons and
daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Judy Collins, Shawsville, Wendell Collins,
Elliston; one brother, Kenneth Collins, Wichita, Kan.; five sisters, Garnett
Yopp, Evelyn Collins, both of Roanoke, Norris Reed, North Carolina, Shirley
Boone, Shawsville, Helen Thornhill, Roanoke; ten grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 28, 1993,
at 2 p.m. at the Rose Lawn Memorial Park, with the Rev. Paul Braisted
officiating. Friends may call at Lotz Salem Chapel after noon on Tuesday.
