UNIVERSITY EDUCATORS NAMED TO STATE POSTS

Gov. Douglas Wilder turned to the state's public universities Wednesday to appoint two deputy secretaries of education.

Wilder named Margarette C. Goodwin of Virginia Commonwealth University and John B. Noftsinger Jr. of James Madison University. They will fill vacancies created by the departures of Education Secretary James Dyke and Deputy Secretary Suzette P. Denslow.
