HIGHLANDS FESTIVAL BEGINS A 2-WEEK RUN

The 45th annual Virginia Highlands Festival will start Saturday and run through Aug. 15 offering performances, arts and crafts, music, historical tours and lectures, antiques, youth activities and one of the biggest flea markets in Southwest Virginia.

Performers will include singers Robin and Linda Williams, probably best known for their appearances on Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion" on radio. They will also present a workshop on music.
