High Q, owned by Robert Lindamood, specializes in repairs including TV, VCR, stereo, camcorder, CD and microwave oven.
High Q opened its first store in Fairlawn in December 1989 and has drawn so many customers from Christiansburg and Blacksburg that Lindamood decided to open a second store.
Lindamood said High Q has a customer base of about 3,000 people.
"We have quite a following," he said.
Lindamood said he will hire five or six part-time workers for the new store.
Rock 105 will broadcast live from the Christiansburg store Saturday and High Q will give away a free trip to Florida.
Lindamood, a Dublin native, said he hopes to build more High Q locations in the future and eventually start a franchise operation.
