`CUT THE FAT' RECIPE CONTEST DEADLINE AUG. 30

The deadline for Radford Community Hospital's "Cut the Fat" recipe contest, sponsored by the cardiac rehabilitation program, will be Aug. 30.

Winning recipes will be published in a cookbook later this year.

Contestants can submit up to three recipes that contain 30 percent or less fat. Typed or printed entries should indicate time, temperature, amount of ingredients and number of servings.

Judging will be based on taste, appearance, ease of preparation and fat content. Entries should be mailed to Dawn Terpenny, Rt. 2, Box 320, Radford, Va. 24141. Further information is available by calling 639-0498.
