Carolyn S. Freeman and Leonard "Dale" Carter were married on July 10, 1993 at the home of the bride's parents at Smith Mtn. Lake. The ceremony wasperformed by Rev. Paul Ewing.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lovern of Moneta. The groom is the son of Mary Louise Carter of Blue Ridge and the late Harry Leonard Carter.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her mother and father.

The maid of honor was Ellen M. Brooks of Roanoke. The best man was Tommy A. Welch of Montvale.

The bride is employed by TimeTechnologies. The groom is employed by Ingersoll-Rand.

After a Florida wedding trip, thecouple will reside in Blue Ridge.
