COLLINS-BAME

Karla Margary Bame and James Richard Collins, Jr., were married July 31, 1993, in Blacksburg Presbyterian Church with Rev. Barbara Austin-McCombs officiating. The reception was held at Custom Catering Center. The matron of honor was Linda Ivanovic, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Dawn Wenger and Christina Sparks, friends of the bride. Scott Collins, brother of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Jay Layne and Don Costello, friends of the groom. The guestbook was attended by Karen Smith, cousin of the bride. The bride wore her mother's wedding gown. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Allen Bame of Blacksburg. She graduated from Blacksburg High School and from James Madison University in 1991. The groom is the son of Connie Collins and the late James Collins of Newport News. He graduated from Hampton High School and Newport New Shipbuilding Apprentice School. He is employed by Newport News Shipbuilding. The newlyweds will live in Hampton, Virginia, after a wedding trip to the mountains of northern Georgia.
