Police found John Castrios, 45, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds Friday at his home after neighbors reported hearing three to five shots. Castrios, a backhoe operator, was pronounced dead at Concord Hospital.
His wife, France Castrios, 42, was charged with first-degree murder, police said.
"It ends more than 200 years of innocence," said town historian Ronald Jager. He said the crime was the first homicide since the town of 650 was incorporated in 1776.
