OBIT BURTON, ORVILLE E.
BURTON, Orville E., 78, of Radford, died Saturday, July 31, 1993, in
Radford Community Hospital. A Navy Veteran of World War II having served in
the South Pacific, he was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and the D.A.V. He
was also a member of the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. Surviving are his
wife, Kathleen Burton; one son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Darlene Burton
of Pilot; a granddaughter, Stephanie Burton of Pilot; one uncle, Ray Burton;
one aunt, Becky Cox, both of Roanoke. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday, August 2, from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by
the Rev. Raymond Kelley and Mr. Milton Nester, with burial in the Burton
Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to
Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, c/o Carroll Adkins, 1195 Radford Street,
Christiansburg, VA 24073. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9
Monday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg.
