OBIT VAN ARSDALE, CENTRICE MAE ELAM

VAN ARSDALE, Centrice Mae Elam (`Penny`), 79, of Radford, passed away Saturday, July 31, 1993. She was a member of Colony Friends Church and a volunteer at Mary Immaculate Hospital. She was a 50 year resident of Newport News. Survivors include two sons, Robert B. Van Arsdale of Gloucester and Bruce Van Arsdale of Radford; one daughter, Pamela V. Thomson of Santiago, Chile; four grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday at the Seaver-Sanders & Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Weymouth Funeral Home in Newport News. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Weymouth Funeral Home in Newport News with Dr. William Lockwood officiating. Interment will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the New River Valley Hospice, P.O. Box 10896, Blacksburg, VA 24060. Seaver-Sanders & Mullins Funeral Home in Radford is in charge of arrangements.
