OBIT SMITH, MAUDE ELEANOR

SMITH, Maude Eleanor, 92, of Bristol House, Bristol, Va., died Sunday, August 1, 1993, in Bristol Health Care Center, Bristol, Va. Mrs. Smith was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church, Bristol, Va. She had been a nurse at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, Va., with more than 50 years of service. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Jewell Hutchins of Blountville, Tenn.; also surviving are several nieces and nephews and several cousins. Akard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Graveside services for Mrs. Maude Eleanor Smith will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 1993, in Mendota Cemetery with Rev. Homer Smith Jr., Rev. Stan Anderson and Rev. Otto Davisson officiating. A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 1993, at Bristol House, Bristol, Va. with Rev. Otto Davisson, Rev. Stan Anderson and Rev. Luke Martin officiating. Friends may call at anytime at Akard Funeral Home, Bristol, Tenn.
