OBIT WALTON, RUTH R.

WALTON, Ruth R., 82, of Chilhowie, Virginia, died Monday, August 2, 1993, at her home. She was a member of the Chilhowie Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Emory Wayne Walton. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Carol Dean and Rev. Dan Tuell, Chilhowie, Va., Norma Jean Blevins, Salem, Va.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, James R. Walton, Chilhowie, Va., Jack D. and Margaret Roland Walton, Bristol, Tenn.; a brother, Charlie Reedy, Grassy Creek, Va.; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Newberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Tuell officiating. Burial will follow in the St. James Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Grandsons serving as pallbearers are Timmy Tuell, Mark Walton Blevins, Joey Walton, Dwight Walton, Douglas Walton and honorary pallbearer, Scott Walton. Newberry Funeral Home in Chilhowie, Va., is in charge of arrangements.
