HISTORY ON TRACK

The Virginia Museum of Transportation and the Roanoke Valley History Museum will link up Aug. 26 to sponsor a joint fund-raiser.

``Fantastic Fantasies'' will be held at the top of the Dominion Tower from 5:30-7:30 p.m., and $10 gets you in.

Music will be provided by Michael Correll, and a silent fantasy auction will include a weekend at the Hotel Roanoke, a ride on the historic No. 611 steam train, and golf with former Mayor Noel Taylor.

Donations for the auction are still needed, however. For more information, or to reserve your spot, call the transportation museum at 342-5670 or the history museum at 342-5770.
