TOURISM PROJECT COORDINATOR NAMED

Jill Barr, Radford's economic-development director, has been named coordinator for the tourism-accreditation project of New River Valley HOSTS, effective immediately.

Barr replaces Bob Thomas, co-founder and past president of HOSTS, who has resigned. Barr has served as co-coordinator for several weeks. The 18-month HOSTS accreditation program is aimed at bringing the regional tourism effort up to state standards. About six months of work remain.
