OBIT TINSLEY, BENJAMIN H.
TINSLEY, Benjamin H., 94, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, August 3, 1993. He was
a member of Trinity Baptist Church, and retired road master, Winston Salem
division, N&W Railway, with 47 years of service. He is survived by his wife of
69 years, Bessie; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lowell A. Tinsley, and wife,
Evelyn, W. Barry Tinsley, and wife, Pamela; four grandchildren; one brother,
Brodie O. Tinsley; two sisters, Gladys T. Thurman, Genevieve T. Peters, all of
Roanoke; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted
from Oakey's North Chapel 1 p.m. Thursday, August 5, with the Rev. Jacob Webb
officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at
Oakey's North Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m.
and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
