OBIT ANDERSON, HENRY CLAY
ANDERSON, Henry Clay, 93, of Wytheville, died Sunday, August 1, 1993, in
the Wythe County Community Hospital. He was born in Grayson County, the son of
the late Robert Lee and Sarah Ida Greer Anderson. He was retired from Chrysler
Motor Corporation and was a member of the Wytheville Presbyterian Church. He
was also a member of the Lodge Council Chapter Consistory, Valley of Detroit,
Mouth of Wilson Lodge No. 223 A.F. & A.M., Moslem Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. of
Detroit, Michigan, and the New River Shrine Club of Kazim Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S.
He is survived by his wife, Lela Williams Anderson; one son and
daughter-in-law, Albert and Pauline Roth of Southlyon, Mich.; three
grandchildren, Albert Lee and wife, Carol Roth of Southlyon, Mich., Carol Ann
and husband, John McLucas of Phoenix, Ariz., John Michael and wife, Roxanne
Roth of Allen Park, Mich.; nine great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral
services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel, with
the Rev. Michael G. Wingard and the Rev. Dr. Thomas Sproule officiating.
Interment will follow in the Greer-Anderson Cemetery in Grayson County.
Graveside Masonic Rites will be conducted by Mouth of Wilson Lodge No. 223,
A.F. & A.M. The family will receive friends at the Barnett Funeral Home
Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of
the arrangements.
