OBIT SAUNDERS, WILLIAM LEE

SAUNDERS, William Lee, 75, of Salem, passed away Monday, August 2, 1993. He was retired as custodian from the Roanoke County School System. Survivors include his wife, Helen H. Saunders; one daughter and son-in-law, Janet S. and Joseph Ware of Fort Washington, Md.; two sons, William Barry Saunders of Bad Hersfeld, Germany, Edwin E. Ham of Michigan City, Ind.; four brothers, Raymond Saunders, Charles B. Saunders, both of Salem, Andrew Saunders of Warner Robbins, Ga., Joseph Saunders of Chester, Pa.; three sisters-in-law, Katie Saunders, Mildred Terry and Jenette Smith; three brothers-in-law, Joseph Ham, Michael Tinsley, Paul Tinsley; five grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, 2 p.m., at the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel. Dr. E. H. Glaspie will officiate with interment in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
