MUSICIANS GET A CHANGE TO BE HEARD BY RECORDING COMPANIES

The Iroquois Club in Roanoke will hold a Music Marathon on Aug. 13-14 at the club at 324 Salem Avenue.

The marathon, in which area musicians' performances will be recorded, offers participants who play original jazz, folk, acoustic, country, blue grass, blues and rock the chance to be heard by the tops in the industry.

After the marathon, the recordings will be sent to several major recording labels. Sound and recording equipment, drums, a bass amp and two guitar amps will be provided. Bands will perform three original copywritten songs.

For more information on how your group or solo act can participate in the Music Marathon, call the Iroquois Club at 982-8979.
