\ 1:45 p.m. Milk Badger, loopy originals with a groovy psycho-surf beat.

\ 2:30 p.m. Biohio, Up-and-coming Blacksburg quartet.

\ 3:15 p.m. The Visible Shivers, '90s song craft at its best.

\ 4 p.m. Rare Daze, charming and soulful music from Virginia Beach.

\ 5 p.m. Lather, Mike Kirby and George Penn serve up some funk.

\ 6 p.m. Ed Hampton's Blacksburg School of Karate, demonstrations.

\ 7 p.m. Sheckie and the Swagtones, the elusive Scheckie turns up for the final Blacksburg experience.

\ 8 p.m. Electric Woodshed, classic Southern rhythm and blues.

\ 9 p.m. SCUM (Smalltown Coalition of Useless Musicians), some of the best rock 'n' roll.\ \ Saturday

\ Noon Blacksburg Community Band. If you don't know somebody on the stage, you haven't been here long. A fine Saturday afternoon, a brass band on the stand, the start of a perfect day.

\ 1 p.m. Crossties, mountain-music sense.

\ 1:45 p.m. Son of Olen, fine roots music, served up R&B-style.

\ 2:30 p.m. Trespassers Will, a combination of the Beatles; Peter, Paul and Mary; and the Carters making a tasty mix of music that ignores traditional boundaries.

\ 3:15 p.m. Innocent Nixon, upbeat pop savvy and charm.

\ 4 p.m. Zookeeper, fusion meets Southern R&B with major chops and minor influences on the side.

\ 5 p.m. The Kind, San Francisco-style rock 'n' roll, sans the streetcar.

\ 6 p.m. The Richard Jesse Project.

\ 6:45 p.m. High Llamas, rock 'n' roll served up from this D.C.-based pop combo with local roots.

\ 7:30 p.m. Joe the Fireman, a simple shop clerk by day, at night he straps on the guitar and becomes a Blacksburg Legend . . . his name's not Joe, and he's not a fireman.

\ 8:15 Not Shakespeare, it might be the band you've heard of but never seen; then again, it might not.

\ 9 p.m. Alejandro Escovedo, A passionate singer and songwriter, he has wowed audiences and critics from coast to coast.
