HOSPICE ANNOUNCES VOLUNTEER TRAINING

New River Valley Hospice Inc. will hold training sessions for volunteers starting Sept. 22.

There will be 10 sessions of two hours each covering hospice philosophy, Medicare benefits, communications, body mechanics and nutrition, attitudes toward death and dying, funeral arrangements and grief and bereavement.

Prospective volunteers should register by Aug. 20.
