VIRGINIA MEN FACE 17-GAME SCHEDULE

Season-ending games against Duke and George Mason, the only teams to defeat Virginia in 1992, are among the marquee games on the Cavaliers' 17-game men's soccer schedule.

The two-time defending NCAA champions will visit Duke on Oct. 24 and play host to George Mason on Oct. 30.

The Cavaliers, who finished with a 21-2-1 record in 1992, will play two tournaments at Klockner Stadium in Charlottesville - the Coca-Cola Classic on Sept. 4-5 and the Lanzera/Sheraton Classic on Oct. 15 and 17.

Virginia coach Lauren Gregg and former Cavaliers star Amanda Cromwell are participating in the CONCACAF Women's Championships in New Hyde Park, N.Y.

Gregg, UVa's head coach since 1986, is assisting U.S. national team head coach Anson Dorrance at the tournament for teams from North and Central America and the Caribbean. Cromwell, a key player for the Cavaliers from 1988-91, is a forward for the U.S. team.
