OBIT-SMOOT, MARGARET HARRISON

SMOOT, Margaret Harrison, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, August 3, 1993. Surviving are her husband, Ernest H. Smoot; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Roger Hines, Richmond, Marsha and David Lavender, West Palm Beach, Fla.; her grandsons, Jason Buchanan and his wife, Christie, Richard Hines; two great-grandchildren, Torre and Justin Buchanan. Private graveside services will be held Friday, August 6, in Sherwood Memorial Park, with Dr. Gregory Adkins officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society in her memory. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
