OBIT-SPENCER, RALPH L.

SPENCER, Ralph L. 80, of Roanoke, died Thursday, August 5, 1993. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen R. Spencer, and was a retired engineer from Appalachian Power Company. Mr. Spencer was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. He was a graduate of Roanoke College, where he was an Honor Guard member. He also attended the Medical College of Virginia. Surviving is a daughter, Gloria S. Woolridge, Roanoke; grandchildren, Susan Lynne Woolridge, Charlotte, N.C., and Lisa Gale Woolridge, Roanoke; a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be at Oakey's South Chapel, 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. James Riach will officiate. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
