OBIT-TRIMBLE, CHARLES ARTHUR

TRIMBLE, Charles Arthur, 87, of Elkton, formerly of Bath County, died Monday, August 2, 1993, in the Camelot Hall Nursing Home in Harrisonburg. He was born January 10, 1906, in Bath County, the son of the late John Trimble and Emma McFadden Trimble. Mr. Trimble was a retired farmer and manager of the Fassifern Farm in Warm Springs. He was a member of the Eden United Methodist Church and the Hot Springs Odd Fellows Lodge. Surviving is his wife, Connie Patteson Trimble; a daughter, Dicie Griffin, Hot Springs; three sons, Charles Thurmond Trimble, Vinton, Burton Trimble, Millboro, and David Trimble, Elkton; a half brother, June Cleek, Hot Springs; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a half sister. A funeral service will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of McLaughlin Funeral Home in Hot Springs with the Rev. Larry Stevens and the Rev. John Haymaker officiating. Interment will be made in the Warm Springs Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Mike Trimble, Ricky Trimble, Kevin Trimble, Gary Trimble, Stephen Trimble and Mark Griffin. Memorials may be made to the Eden United Methodist Church Building Fund. McLaughlin Funeral Home in Hot Springs is in charge of arrangements.
